Thanksgiving Menu



It can't be Thanksgiving without these favorites.  Today I will be enjoying the first of two Thanksgiving dinners.  A family favorite is the rutabaga.  If you haven't tried it, it is definitely an acquired taste food.  Similar to mashed potatoes, we peel boil and mash it to a thicker, chunkier consistensy than it's cousin the potato.   I grew up with this instead of the common sweet potato and marshmallow casserole.  I prefer my sweet potatoes cut into cubes and roasted anyway.
